A. On-Hire Conditions
1. Hire Form: Hires will only be accepted on receipt of a completed Standard Hire Form (SHF).
2. Two Working Days Notice: Please return the SHF to us at least 2 working days before required delivery.
3. Kingspan Training: Operators must be trained in the correct installation technique by Kingspan.
4. Delivery Times: Standard delivery is ‘Next Working Day < 18:00’. Faster delivery requirements are available if marked on the SHF and sufficient notice is given (see A2 above).

 

B. Off-Hire Conditions
1. Off-Hire Request: Off-Hire requests can only be made using the Off-Hire Form on this website.
2. Make Tools Ready: please have the tool kits ready for collection and, if necessary, inform site security or the site agent.
3. Collection: SkyZip will arrange for TNT (or similar) to collect the tools from site.
4. Aborted Collections: will be charged for at cost to SkyZip plus 10%
5. Cancelled Off-Hires: if TNT (or similar) makes a second aborted collection, having followed the collection process described above, we reserve the right to cancel the Off-Hire and return the tool set to a standard hire charge as if an off-hire request had not been made. The continued hire charge will continue until a successful collection is made by TNT (or similar), at which point the hire will be terminated as normal.
6. Payment Terms: strictly 30 days from invoice date. SkyZip reserves the right to terminate a hire without further notice and collect the associated tools from site if payment terms have been breached.

 

C. Damage / Loss / Consequential Loss
1. Tool Damage: If tools are returned in a damaged condition we reserve the right to charge for reasonable repair/cleaning costs where, in our opinion, we believe the damage has been caused by misuse. SkyZip will notify the customer in writing with details of any damage when the tools have been received at its depot and will keep the damaged tools for three days for inspection or query. Beyond that, the tools will be repaired and the customer agrees to pay for the damage as notified.

Example 1: Hammering of Ridge/Turn Tools: It should be noted that the aluminium Ridge and Turn tools must not be hit with hammers or forced into the panel foam in any similar way - Kingspan training recommends cutting away the foam first. The minimum repair charge for such misuse is £150 per tool, where repair is possible. Otherwise a full replacement cost will be made (see replacement costs on SHF).

Example 2: Voltage Supply: voltage on site must be 110V to avoid chargeable damage to tools.

2. Lost/Stolen Tools: We will charge two thirds of the hire rate when equipment has broken down or is unavailable for work due to any action or lack of action you may have taken. This includes seizure or detention by any receiver, liquidator or statutory body and loss or theft of equipment. This charge, which will commence when you notify us of such an event, will continue until you have paid us a compensation charge for the loss (see replacement costs shown above) or have provided us with suitable replacement equipment and we have agreed to accept this.
3. Consequential Loss: SkyZip shall under no circumstances be liable for any injury or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind whatsoever including without limitation; loss of profit, loss of business, economic loss, loss of goodwill or otherwise however such injury loss or damage is caused arising out of any breach of contract, tort or breach of statutory duty or misrepresentation whatsoever except for death or injury resulting from our negligence or unless specifically implemented under a separate agreement.
